Submit a Tip
Know about a data breach notice, a scam pattern, a privacy problem, or a case we should look into? Send it to us. Tips help us find stories, and we verify information with primary sources before we publish anything.
What makes a useful tip
- Who is involved: the organization, platform, or company.
- When it happened: dates, even approximate ones.
- Where it can be checked: a link to a public notice, filing, court record, or official page, if there is one.
- What you know firsthand and what you’ve heard from others.
Before you send
Don’t include Social Security numbers, account or card numbers, passwords, ID documents, or photos of letters that show personal details. Describe what the document says instead. If we need more, we’ll ask by email.

- We review tips and may email you with follow-up questions.
- We don’t publish your name or contact details without your permission.
- Not every tip leads to a story, and we can’t reply to every submission.
